What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDxNewYork, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxNewYork event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Though it had it's ups and downs, it was a great insight into reality and the eyes of others. It also reminded me of just how good of an actor Anna Deavere Smith is. This talk was another terrific example of the power of storytelling, how stereotypical our minds can work and how wrong we can be and most often are about people.
