WELCOME TO THE ON-LINE HOME OF TEDxNEWYORK.

TEDxNewYork is held at GreyNY, 200 Fifth Avenue. We meet every week (mostly) on Fridays now and (mostly) from 1-2pm. We are open to the public. If you want to attend, send a note to admin@tedxnewyork.com (that's Don McKinney & Chel O'Reilly) with your vitals. Our biggest limitation is space so give us plenty of notice and we'll do our best to accommodate. Hope to see you at one of our events soon.

TEDxNewYork 01/19/10 Stephen Petranek (2004)

The Stephen Petranek TED talk we watched this week was on disc from 2004 and is not at this time available online. You can find out more about him here:
http://www.ted.com/speakers/stephen_petranek.html

The punch line of this is that while the talk we watched was about 10 things to be optimistic about, the only one he has online is on the 10 ways the world might end.

TEDxNewYork 01/05/10 Eleni Gabre-Madhin (2007)

The organization of which she speaks is here:

A little news since her talk is available on the TEDblog.

And PBS did a piece on her work as well, approximately two years further down the line.

To ring out 2009, a little green cheer:

A reprise of William McDonough and a new song by John Forte.
